A bride and her mother have been through so much together; school reports, ballet classes, even the embarrassing boyfriend phase. With a relationship bonded by good memories, could it ever reach breaking point? Whether it’s a critical remark or selfish comment, some mothers of the bride apparently never heard the motto, ‘think before you speak’….
We all want flawless, glowing skin. But if there’s one time when you really want the beauty gods to bless you with a perfect complexion, it’s at a wedding. Whether you’re the bride or the bridesmaid, you definitely want to look your best on the big day. And while that begins with a beautiful dress, it ends with a great beauty routine. After all, who doesn’t dream of possessing the stuff airbrushed models are made of?
“Beautiful. It was the Augusta Jones Lois gown from Brides of Beecroft. Relaxed chic, stylish bias cut lace wedding gown with a V neck that is mirrored front and back. Soft tulle wraps around from the front to become flowing ties on the back (one of the main reasons I feel in love with the gown). The neckline, hem and train are all edged with a lace scallop. It was the only dress that I didn’t want to change a thing on. I also changed into a gold sequin floor length dress half way through the ceremony. This was my party dress. I toyed with the idea of wearing a gold sequined wedding dress but didn’t want to regret not wearing a more traditional gown. My mum found my gold dress while I was changing out of my wedding dress. I fell in love with it and was lucky enough to be able to wear both.”
Lady Gaga looking stunning in the exact Satin Wrap Gown that we stock in our showroom! This dress can be manipulated into so many different styles, I’m half pleasantly surprised and half disappointed that Miss Gaga went for such a popular, and well, normal, style.
So the Big Day has arrived, the bride is beautiful and the maids are looking pretty damn smoking hot too… all good so far! But if you’ve ever danced all night long you know that even if you’re glam at the beginning, it isn’t easy to look lily fresh from open to close. So since the maids have more responsibilities than wearing a beautiful bridesmaids dress, it’s up to them to make sure the bride (and themselves) make it through the night looking flawless and unscathed.
